Ok So I have been asked for more information on the Club Registration Day
A bit of a background as to why we do all the rego's at once
By having all club vehicles registered around the same time it allows for the records to be kept much simpler for our plates registrar, John who like everyone else is a volunteer. Having everything at once allows a day to be put aside to fill in and process everything in one go, the great job John has been doing over these years we are certainly going to make his life easier if we can
By doing this it also allows our two Vehicle Inspectors Dave and Daniel to process all the club Vehicles in a single day which they can do on a weekend and it does not interrupt with their day to day business.
Having all the club registered vehicles in one place at one time also allows our Scrutineers to check out the eligibility for the historic registration scheme for all vehicles, allowing us to maintain integrity of vehicles meeting that criteria.
And its a damned good excuse to have a bbq and catch up.
Lastly we are this year introducing a $20 fee per person on the day this is just a nominal amount to cover any expenses on the day and overheads for the workshop and paperwork costs.

Club Registration day for 2016 will be held in late June (date to be announced soon)at Dave Wiggins Classic Mechanical which is tucked away in Yallah next to horseland, it will be on a weekend which ensures we will have the whole area to ourselves for brake tests and parking etc.
For those of you who want to come over to the Club Registration and your registration expires before this time please be aware you can purchase a short term full registration until a date towards the end of June early July then change over to the H plate's at that time, you can also hand in your full registration and get refunded if your normal registration expires after the june/july period
Also for anyone bringing an unregistered vehicle for club registration please be sure to bring your old rego papers and or your purchase receipts to ensure you have everything ready, i would suggest getting in touch with Dave before hand if you have any questions, and yes as it is for inspection purposes you can drive it to the workshop.
and finally for all members, to avoid misuse of the club registration system, to be eligible for Club Registration with Classic Car Club Illawarra any financial member must have been in attendance for 3 club meeting and 2 club organized events. In saying this all new members will be eligible for club registration in their first partial year of membership This is something we are only doing to make sure we can maintain an active and social club for everyone to enjoy
thanks all
Trent
